The Tamir Pre-Military Program/”Mechina” was founded in 2003 by educators who came to live in the Golan Heights, seeking to provide all young adults from across Israel, and particularly those in Northern Israel, with equal opportunity for economic prosperity, dignity, and success in life, by imparting tools, empowerment, training, community activity, and cultivating their attachment to Judaism.
